What is the Farley Foundation? Dr Monika

The Farley Foundation is a registered charity that was organized by the OVMA (Ontario Veterinary Medical Association) in 2001 that provides to families in need who qualify for financial assistance with the cost of emergency veterinary medical care. The Farley Foundation was named after the iconic English sheep dog character from Canadian artist Lynn Johnston’s comic strip, For Better or For Worse. Farley won over the hearts of Canadians everywhere with his lovable and curious nature as Lynn did a fantastic job of outlining how important pets are and why they’re a part of the family. That mentality was carried forward through the Farley Foundation with the intention of fundraising and offer support to those who need help providing medical care for their pets when they are unable to do so financially. As such, each year in October we fundraise in support of the Farley Foundation and to help those in our community who may need these services. Every donation (be it big or small) is crucial in the continued funding of this important Foundation. In an effort to raise donations we have various activities going on at the clinic for all ages to enjoy! Please come out and support this worthwhile cause or call in your donation today!
